We’re heading back to BG for 10 days in mid-May. The plan is to clear out some of the furniture/junk that we don’t want and make some room for work to start. We also want to spend some time with Max and the builder to discuss plans and get a proper quote for work. I’d also like to check out fixtures and fittings – what’s available, how much, etc. No doubt most things will be cheaper there, but for some it might be cheaper to buy in the UK and ship out.
So, the big question is whether to stay at our house or not. It does seem silly paying to stay somewhere when our house is sitting there empty.
Reasons to stay at our house:
- It’s our house!
- It’s free to stay there.
- It has enough basic furniture to be comfortable.
- It would be lovely to wake up in our own home.
- It would be good fodder for the blog – 10 days of actual village life…
Reasons not to:
- It has no toilet.
Now, I like to think of myself as a low-maintenance chick (what woman doesn’t?). But no toilet? For 10 days? I just don’t know if I can.
What do you think, readers?
